Indesit is a fairly well known brand in NZ. ‘Designed in Italy - made in Europe’, is the slogan since manufacturing for Indesit moved from Italy to Eastern European countries that have that have far lower costs. However, Indesit now buy many of their appliances in China where costs are even lower. So that slogan will need revision for many appliances. ‘Made In China’ perhaps.
Indesit appliances used to be a popular choice in New Zealand since they're cheap and cheerful and priced for housing developments and rentals. There's plenty of mark-up for some larger stores to offer them with discounts and ‘interest free’ credit to give the appearance of great bargains. Kiwis love these promotions and come out in droves for them. Competition has been tough though and sales have been affected. Indesit appliances are available online but be careful to visit the main street stores before you buy to check them out carefully so you know exactly what you’re buying.
Indesit do have the full range of kitchen appliances including stoves, ovens, cooktops, rangehoods, dishwashers and fridges. If you experience any problems at all whilst the appliance is under warranty, don't delay reporting it because repairs are expensive and you can’t afford to let the warranty lapse.
There are better alternatives to Indesit appliances and much better warranties for kitchen appliances. Do your homework carefully before you buy. Check out the the choices online for a real bargain. Try googling ‘kitchen appliance packages’.
